Iteriad have been involved in designing the external spaces for the new Older Adult and Dementia Unit at Dorothy Pattison Hospital in Walsall.The unit has now been completed on site and open to service users- September 2024.

The new building has been designed by GDA. The outdoor spaces consist of a new main arrival 'village green' space with car parking to the front. There are two large gardens spaces at the rear. The dementia garden incorporates a wander loop and features that help to stimulate memory set amongst raised sensory planting beds. The older adult functional garden consists of a growing area with raised beds, a seating area and an outdoor dining terrace.

There are also two small inner courtyard spaces with planting and seating areas for sitting and quiet contemplation.
