Biography in brief

Matt is a Chartered Landscape Architect with over 14 years of experience. He joined Iteriad in January 2021 as a Director, previously working at international practice BDP. Throughout his career, he has honed a skill set which allows him to develop projects from feasibility through to construction delivery at the highest quality level.

He has developed an expansive portfolio of UK and international projects spanning twenty three countries, ranging from the detailed design of small courtyard spaces in York to the spatial planning of city masterplans in China. Matt spent seven months in Christchurch, New Zealand working on the development of the Avon River Precinct project following the devastating earthquakes of 2010/11.

His projects with BDP included a wide variety of sectors, including masterplanning, public realm, education, leisure, culture, sports and defense.

One of Matt’s key skills is the use of technology in the design development of landscape schemes and how it can be utilised to convey concepts to clients, design teams and stakeholders.

Matt has appeared as a guest lecturer at Manchester Metropolitan University, discussing the Avon River Precinct Project in Christchurch, New Zealand.

The private side of Matt:

Devoted dad, keen photographer, road cyclist / mountain biker, passionate about the natural and built landscape, it’s ecology and the way we perceive and interact with it.

June 2024: Our new public realm design for the Old Quadrangle is now complete and open to the public ready for the University of Manchester bicentennial celebrations.

May 2024: Our landscape works are well underway at North View new mental health hospital at North Manchester General, which is due for completion in the autumn. Pleased to have been part of the IHP Vinci team on this important project.

 

January 2024: We are pleased to be working with P+HS Architects on two new healthcare projects in Cumbria. Workington Community Diagnostics Centre in Workington with GRAHAM Construction and Carlisle Endoscopy Unit at Cumberland Infirmary with Actiform.

 

October 2023: Our mental health portfolio is rapidly expanding with a new commission with the Gilling Dod Architects team for the development of the Heath Lane MH Recovery Hub for Black Country NHS Partnership.

 

August 2023: We are pleased to be part of the IHP team with Gilling Dod Architects working on the design for Water Meadow View the new Inpatient LD Unit at Guild Park Preston, for Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust.

 

March 2023:Our work within Higher Education is strengthening with our involvement on the new Veterinary School at University of Central Lancashire (UcLan).
